Amount of people in the server.

I noticed that when the server is running with fewer people in it, it seems to be night time in the server. Does CREW try to keep to daytime or is the nighttime cycle part of the rotation? Just curious since most nighttime servers are hardly ever full.

Thoughts anyone? Comments?

With the host move we are still working out all the kinks. We are now a 24/7 day server. You will also notice that player count will be a little low for the first bit after switching IP's.

Yeah we have been working on it today, the server should now be 24/7 day like before and yeah as we moved to a new provider and IP address it will take a little time to re-build the CREW's player-base, but rest assured its happening!

I have no doubt the player list will increase I was just curious about the night time issue because I know that does affect player traffic. Thanks for the answer guys.

1. I like and prefer the 12 hour cycle. Constant 24 hour sunshine gets monotonous with the sun always in the same spot. I like that it moves now. Is the 12 hour cycle permanent or an experiment?

2. I've noticed the server pop has bee consistently low. Any plans for advertising to raise it back up? Why not weekly challenges/contests with rewards? Or monthly. Whatever interesting things to get people back on.

yes we do have plans for advertising the community but it just needs time, we knew that changing server providers would take a hit however what really helps is people being in the server as much as possible to boost the numbers!

Yeah, Soggy, like we said before, anytime we change ip's the population takes a hit. Just need a little time and we will be back on top thanks to players like you!
